Dylan Knudsen grew up playing in a small town in Northwest Colorado. He was lucky enough to have the Avs move to town as he was finding his love for the game, and he quickly was drawn to hockey in its entirety. Max Atwell began playing when he was a young child. He grew up in the game, then stepped away for a couple years, before once more picking it up in Steamboat.
